Last weekend, I had a purr‑fectly pawsome way to spend a Saturday afternoon; visiting the brand‑new Meow Town Lounge, a cozy cat lounge and community space that officially celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, February 28 in McLean.

MeowTown isn’t just a place to cuddle kitties. It’s a mission‑driven nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful work opportunities for individuals with special needs and helping rescue cats find their forever homes. All adoptable cats come through Fancy Cats Rescue.

You can reserve either a 50-minute session or a 4 hour day pass in the lounge. There are also special discounted passes available for military members, first responders, nurses, and teachers. The lounge does not permit children under the age of 4, and children 15 must be accompanied by a parent.
