Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) offers a dynamic suite of Fine and Performing Arts summer enrichment camps that invite students to explore their creativity, grow their skills, and connect with peers who share a passion for the arts. All three programs emphasize hands-on learning, collaboration, and authentic artistic experiences led by highly qualified, passionate FCPS arts educators and professional artists. All camps foster a supportive and inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to take creative risks and find their artistic voice.
Camp day: 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Early drop-off at 7:30 a.m.
After-care available through 5:00 p.m.
All students are welcome:
- FCPS students.
- Students enrolled in private schools.
- Students who are homeschooled.
- Non-Fairfax County residents.
Bus transportation is available at no extra cost, helping ensure access for students across the region. Tuition assistance is available for FCPS families eligible for free and reduced meals.
-- Institute for the Arts (IFTA)
For students currently in grades 6-11.
Session 1: July 6 - 17
Session 2: July 20 - 31
Students select four courses in disciplines such as visual art, music, theatre, dance, film, and design. IFTA classes balance technical skill-building with creative exploration, allowing students to experiment, problem-solve, and create original work. Each session culminates in a showcase or exhibition that celebrates student learning and creativity.

Week Three: July 20 - 24
Week Four: July 27 - 31
Each day, campers rotate through four engaging classes in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, led by passionate FCPS fine arts teachers who make learning joyful and age-appropriate. Each week is centered on a different theme, sparking imagination and curiosity while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Campers build confidence, make new friends, and discover the joy of the arts in a fun, nurturing environment.
