5 FUN, FAMILY-FRIENDLY Things to Do With Kids This Weekend!

Fall is almost here and there is NO shortage of activities for everyone!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Fall is almost here! The time for festivals, apple picking and exporing new places is upon us. Here are my top picks for five fun things to do with your kids in our area this weekend:

Clarendon Day 

Location: Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201

When: Saturday, September 21st 11am - 6pm 

Cost: FREE! Food and amusements extra! 

There will be food trucks, live music, a 5K/10K and more! Expect loads of people and activities galore including face painting and photo ops with the Nationals Presidents! For more details click here!


Taste of Georgetown 

Location: K Street between Wisconsin Avenue and Thomas Jefferson Street

When: Sunday, September 22nd 11am - 4pm 

Cost: FREE! Tastes and wine are extra. 

Grab a stroller and bring the whole family to stroll around the Taste of Georgetown. There will be a kid's corner with face painting and coloring. Dogs are welcome! For more details and address information click here!


Apple Gala & Fresh Cider Fest

Location: Great Country Farms, 18780 Foggy Bottom Road, Bluemont, VA 20135

When: Daily, 9am - 6pm 

Cost: $10/child, $12/adult (weekday admission is less)

Weekends are extra special at GCF in the Fall! Pick apples, listen to live music, roast marshmallows, and learn how cider was made back in the day on an antique cider press with cider pressing demos. For more details and exact location, click here. 


Caboose Commons Oktoberfest Birthday Bash 

Location: 2918 Eskridge Road, Merrifield (across the street from Mosaic District)

When: Saturday, 12pm - 7pm

Cost: FREE! 

Life size games, pet adoptions, food, drinks and more. Their patio is amazing and it's a great spot for kids! For more details, visit the calendar here.


Cox Farms Fall Festival 

Location: 15621 Braddock Rd, Centreville, VA 20120

When: Daily, 10am - 6pm (Saturday, 9/21 kicks off their full season)

Cost: $7 - $20 at peak times - Check their website for exact pricing per day
