P.Nokio: A Hip-Hop Musical re-imagines Carlo Collodi’s 1883 classic Pinocchio story, setting it in Hip-Hopia, an enchanted land where people speak in rhyme, break-dance instead of walk, and listen to birds sing and chirp with the precision and rhythm of turntables and beat machines.

“We really enjoyed the creative way the performers transformed a classic tale into a modern day revival. My children really enjoyed the various characters in the show (especially the scrupulous fox and cat!) and how they wove hip hop music into the story. There were plenty of moments where the cast came out into the audience to their delight and made eye contact with them. In addition, there was a fun audience participation component of the show that the kids really enjoyed. My kids were often caught dancing in their seats during various songs and were really invested in P.Nokio making the right choices. There were also plenty of comedic nods and jokes for the adults as well that were really funny. My kids clapped and cheered when P.Nokio became "real" and I thoroughly enjoyed it as a parent because it taught not only the importance of telling the truth in the classic stories' sense, but also about authenticity in today's sometimes inauthentic society.”

- All performances are capped at 50% capacity or feature socially-distanced seating.
- Ticket holders ages 5 and older must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and, for ages 18 and older, photo ID for all performances.
